Use Shopping Offer to manage the promotions your travel agency offers on NDC (New Distribution Capability) fares. A promotion lets you apply a special fare to a chosen airline and set of routes for a defined sales period β so you can shape the offers your sellers see without touching anything on the airline side.Currently, Shopping Offer supports one discount category: Promotion Fare. Two other categories, SpecialFare and Discount Program, are planned for a future release and aren't available yet.Promotions are applied based on the itinerary search date (the date a journey is shopped), not the departure date.
To open the promotion list, go to the Shopping Offer menu in the sidebar and click Promotion. The list shows every promotion set up for your agency, with rich search filters at the top.
You can narrow the list using any of these filters:| Filter | What it does |
|---|
| Airline | Search by target airline. Type an airline name or 2-letter code, then pick from the suggestions. |
| Active | Filter by activation state β All (default), On, or Off. |
| Status | Filter by lifecycle status β All (default), Scheduled, Ongoing, Expired, or Unavailable. |
| Date | Filter by a date range. Choose the basis: Created at (creation date) or Sales Period (the promotion's active window). Defaults to the full period. |
| Keyword | Search by Promotion Title or Created by (the email ID of the user who created it). |
Use Reset to clear all filters and start over.Date filters follow time zones. Created at and the search range use your Account's POS time zone setting, while Sales Period follows the individual promotion's own time zone.
Results are sorted first by Status (Ongoing β Scheduled β Expired β Unavailable), then by newest creation date. If nothing matches your filters, you'll see "No search results found."From the promotion list, start a new promotion and fill in two sections: Promotion Info and Route Info.Create promotion form with Promotion Info and Route Info sections
1
Enter the promotion details (Promotion Info)
Fill in the basics for your new promotion:
Promotion Title β a name for the promotion.
Active β set to On to activate the promotion during its sales period. If left Off (the default), the promotion stays inactive even within its dates.
Airline β the target airline (search by name or 2-letter code).
Promotion Code β the promotion's identifier.
Timezone β the time zone the sales period is measured in (search and select).
Sales Period β the active window. This is evaluated against the itinerary search date, not the departure date.
Only Promotion Fare can be set today. SpecialFare and Discount Program are coming in a future release.
2
Define the target routes (Route Info)
Choose where the promotion applies:
Policy β pick Apply to set route to apply the promotion to the routes you list. (Exclude set route is planned but not available yet.)
Routes β add one or more Departure β Arrival pairs. You can set as many routes as you need. For round trips, add the outbound and return legs separately.
Each endpoint is selected as Region β Country β City/Airport (search and select). The level you choose controls how broadly the promotion applies:| What you select | Where the promotion applies |
|---|
| Region only | All countries, cities, and airports under that region |
| Country only | All cities and airports in that country |
| City code | All airports under that city |
| Nothing (or Region = "All") | Every route for that airline |
3
Save the promotion
Click Save to create the promotion. It now appears in your list according to its status.
When a journey-search API call comes in for the same airline and route, any promotion criteria included in that request override the matching Albus setting.
Edit, delete, and review history#
Open any promotion from the list to view and update its details. The detail view has the same Promotion Info and Route Info sections, plus Save, Delete, and a History panel.Promotion detail view with status, Save/Delete, and History

|---|
| Scheduled | Reserved to apply (hasn't started yet) | On |
| Ongoing | Currently applying | On |
| Expired | Finished applying | On |
| Unavailable | Deactivated | Off |
A few rules apply when editing:To stop an Ongoing promotion, move its end date earlier and save.
An Ongoing promotion can't be switched from Active On β Off.
An Expired promotion can no longer be edited.
Click Delete to remove a promotion. An Ongoing promotion can't be deleted. Once deleted, a promotion is removed from the list immediately and cannot be recovered.
Review change history#
The History panel under Metadata shows the promotion's change log. A history entry is created whenever you save a change to Promotion Title, Active, Airline, Promotion Code, Timezone, Sales Period, or Route.
