Keeping an eye on each airline's L2B (Look-to-Book) ratio is one of the simplest ways to protect your NDC (New Distribution Capability) operations. When an airline's look count climbs steeply against its bookings, you risk API (Application Programming Interface) throttling or even partnership friction. With Airline L2B Limit, you can set a per-airline threshold, get automatic alerts before things go sideways, and keep your API traffic healthy and stable. Not sure where to start? Setting up alerts? Follow Method 1. Already received an alert email? Jump to Method 2 to review the situation and pull an Insight report.
Prerequisites#
Albus Admin: Can assign any user in your agency as an alert recipient.
Albus User: Can only set whether you receive alerts.
Reference Data: When choosing a threshold, refer to each airline's Technical Call Limit so your limit lands in a realistic range.
Step 1 — Set L2B Thresholds & Alerts#
Define how much look-to-book activity is acceptable for an airline, then decide who hears about it and when.1
Go to the settings page
Open Aggregator > Airline L2B Limit, then click [Create] in the top-right corner.
2
Pick the airline and set the threshold
Airline: Choose the airline you want to manage. You can register only one limit per airline.
L2B Limit (Look per 1 Book): Enter the maximum number of looks allowed per booking, as a number. (For example, entering 5000 sets a 5000:1 ratio.)
3
Choose the monitoring interval and turn alerts on
Notification: Set this to ON to receive alerts.
Monitoring Interval: Pick how often data is aggregated — Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Albus analyzes the data and sends alerts at the scheduled point for that interval.
4
Add the alert levels you care about
Warning (80%) and Exceeded (100%) levels are provided by default.
Click [Add a Level] to add stages such as Severe — up to 5 levels total.
5
Choose recipients and save
Send to: Select who should receive the alert emails. Your own account is included by default.
When everything looks right, click [Save]. From now on, alert emails go out whenever a threshold is reached.

Check the change history: Curious when a setting changed and who changed it? Open the [History] button on the detail page.
Lean on the Insight report: For any airline over its limit, Albus recommends which routes or channels to throttle so you can bring the L2B ratio back down effectively.
Step 2 — Respond to an L2B Alert & View the Insight Report#
When an alert lands in your inbox, you can jump straight to the dashboard, see exactly how far over the line an airline went, and ask Albus for an instant strategy report.1
Open the dashboard from the alert email
In the L2B alert email, click the [Access L2B Insights] link to jump straight to the dashboard. An L2B Alert widget appears at the top, showing the alerted airline and the aggregation period.
2
Check the exceeded status
For the aggregation period noted in the email, review the exact figures showing how far each airline went over its configured threshold.
3
Request an Insight report
Click [View Insights] in the widget. Albus instantly generates an AI-powered strategy report based on the alerted airline and period.
Dashboard with the L2B Alert widget showing the alerted airline, aggregation period, and the View Insights button
| Behavior | What to expect |
|---|
| Data retention | Information brought in through an alert email is saved to local storage, so you'll still see the latest alert even after refreshing the page. |
| Information update | Opening a newer L2B alert email overwrites the existing widget with the latest alert details. |
| Closing the widget | Finished reviewing or acting on an alert? Click [X] in the top-right corner of the L2B Alert widget to hide it. |
Strategic shortcut: When you arrive via the L2B Alert widget, the dashboard's overall date range and target airline are set automatically to match the alert. From there, feel free to change the period or airline to continue your deeper analysis.
Reference: L2B Status & Monitoring Thresholds#
Your current ratio is graded against the threshold you set, as follows.| Status | Criteria | Notes |
|---|
| OK | At or below 80% of the set value | Stable — nothing to worry about. |
| Warning | Above 80% of the set value | Worth watching; tighten your monitoring. |
| Exceeded | Above 100% of the set value | The threshold you set has been crossed. |
| Severe | A custom value you define (e.g., 150%) | A critical stage — immediate action is recommended. |
You can quickly check L2B status by date range on the dashboard.
