Password & Account Security Rules#
To keep your data safe, Albus follows strict security protocols. Keep these rules in mind whenever you set or change a password.| Rule | Requirement |
|---|
| Password Complexity | Must be 8–64 characters and include a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. |
| Account Lock | Your account is locked for 15 minutes after 5 failed login attempts. |
| Password Expiry | You'll need to update your password every 90 days. |
Staying Signed In: Session & Auto-Logout#
Albus balances security and convenience by managing your login session based on your activity. Knowing how this works helps you avoid unexpected logouts during your work. How session extension works:1.
Automatic extension: Your session is scheduled to extend every 4 hours after you log in.
2.
Activity check: Albus looks for activity — clicks, page transitions, or data entries — within the last 1 hour of each 4-hour cycle.
3.
Automatic logout: If no activity is detected during that final 1-hour window, your session won't extend and you'll be logged out automatically.
| Policy | Details |
|---|
| Extension Cycle | Every 4 hours |
| Activity Window | Within the 60 minutes before each extension point |
| Auto-Logout Trigger | No activity during the Activity Window |
Working on something long-running? A quick click or page change within the activity window keeps your session alive.
